Microsoft in Europe is working with The Library House to discover the most exciting emerging businesses in the Microsoft Partner Program. In the process we will offer our European Empower for ISV partners free access to online investment readiness tools as well as a chance to stand in the spotlight at our upcoming Microsoft Startup Zone Showcase (11/12 June, Brussels).
The Search for High Potential Empower Partners
At Microsoft, we're motivated and inspired every day by how our customers and partners use our software to build new solutions and business opportunities. To this end, we actively invest our resources, programs, people and technologies to help new ventures realize their full potential.
One of our leading programs for startups currently is Empower for ISVs. Empower is often the starting point for companies wanting to develop solutions on the Microsoft platform because it delivers a strong mix of advantageous licensing, advice and technical support.
Working with The Library House, we will search the European Empower membership for the most exciting software startups developing solutions on the Microsoft platform. A short-list of high-potential companies will be generated with a select number offered the chance to be present at the Microsoft Startup Zone at the Entrepreneurship Day and Investor Summit 11 and 12 June in Brussels. The event will offer a unique opportunity for young companies to mix with other high-potential start-up CEOs, Government policymakers, industry executives and investors.
How Can I Be Considered for the Startup Zone Showcase?
We are focusing our search on the currently registered Empower members as well as recently graduated partners (i.e., partners that have gone onto higher MSPP competencies). Leveraging The Library House’s company research and analysis, high-potential Empower (HIPE) companies will be selected based on public information including investment history, media attention and growth.

If you are an Empower partner and would like to be considered for the HIPE shortlist, please register and complete the Gauntlet using the exclusive promotion code provided in the email. Based on the information received through this process your company will be evaluated for consideration to the HIPE shortlist.
In partnership with The Library House, Microsoft is also offering all Empower partners the opportunity to explore their investment readiness and receive feedback on their business with free access to Run the Gauntlet. This represents €500 in value and provides access to a unique online tool that draws on The Library House’s extensive experience with young, high-growth companies.
Based on your answers in four key themed areas (Innovation, Team, Market and Investment), a scorecard is generated which enables you to view, online, how an investor will look at your business complete with feedback and suggestions for improvement. It is also a rich source of help, tips and advice from people who have 'been there and done that'!
