New Weekly Bulletins on Emerging Trends

Starting this week I will be doing weekly bulletins on Emerging trends and companies in the Mobility and Manufacturing Industries.  I switched roles back in December and spent the first six months trying to learn my new role at Microsoft.  Working with startups in such a thrill. I have loved being at the cutting-edge - what better than work with VCs to find tomorrows solutions. Of course my big passion in Mobility - so I will be most likely featuring lots of cool technologies in Mobility.  However I also cover the Manufacturing Vertical at Microsoft - and there are sooo many cutting edge companies building things like Business Intelligence Solutions, 3D Modeling etc - so I will probably write about  cool ones I discover

Companies currently of interest :

Divitas

There is a new breed of companies developing Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions that allow users to seamlessly switch between networks using a wireless device. This is a huge deal. How many times have we all been on our cellphones and walk into the office - or some other place and have to hang up and dial on another phone? Or better still in my case - I am in the office on the phone and want to continue speaking as I drive to another meeting? I most always have to hung up and dial again...

DiVitas makes enterprise-relevant communications networks transparently available to users through a single wireless handset and Fixed -Mobile Convergence (FMC) functionality that includes multi-network roaming, seamless handoff, and secure remote access. This extends enterprise security, management and cost control to wireless communications.  I will be writing more about this company as I investigate further into what they do - I hope I get to meet them soon.

Next week I will be at the CTIA conference in Los Angeles.  I am hoping to run into some very interesting companies.  I will highlight the ones I find most interesting next week.
