Effective Nov 21st - I will now be covering all the Vertical Market Portforlio in the Microsoft Strategic and Emerging Business Team with the exception of Financial services which shall be covered by my colleague Don Canning. I will still be covering Mobility as a secondary porforlio - so do not worry about no longer getting my views on the industry- that shall not change as I have a passion for that particular industry.
I was already covering the Manufacturing Industry Portforlio which is the largest of all Microsoft Industry units (encompassing diverse industries like Automotive, Aerospace and Defense and High Tech among others). I will now expand into other verticals including Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences, Health Care, Retail and others. I am quite excited at the additional responsibility. I have some initiatives currently underway which I believe will make the process of introducing startups to our sales force more predictable.
Starting next week, I will be publishing reqular story boards and ISV scenarios to our Global Account Organization which include account teams covering multinational conglomerates like Pfizer, Daimler Chysler , GlaxoSmith Klein, Novatis and 50 other companies. This will give visibility of selected ISVs to our Global sales force. I will be featuring startups that are beginning to get traction in our Enterprise and Global account segment.
